Image Dynamics mission is to help the car audio enthusiast and sound competitor attain sound entertainment in their vehicle that rivals the finest home audio systems with "Live Performance" levels of sound quality. To properly reproduce all types of music as they were originally recorded, a system must have the power to generate very high sound pressure levels and intense dynamics while having the grace to do it with low distortion and brilliant clarity.

The same elements of our speaker designs that give them the power to play very high sound pressure level also provide the grace to reproduce the music with low distortion, remarkable definition and stunning clarity. There are two key elements to accomplishing this; first is efficiency and power handling, second is careful control of all aspects of the speakers design, diaphragm (cone), suspension, and motor assembly to prevent distortion and unwanted resonance with constant consideration for maintaining high efficiency and power handling. Through results Image Dynamics has proven that sound engineering rules over design by marketing.

Headquartered in Ontario, California, Image Dynamics was founded in 1993 by auto sound enthusiasts. Image Dynamics has built its reputation as an innovative and affordable speaker manufacturer. Getting their start in 1993 they innovated the use of Horn Loaded Compression Drivers (HLCD) for both competition and everyday use by making them both affordable and easy to use. The innovation continued in 1994 by offering mid-bass drivers and subwoofers that matched the uncompromising performance of their Horn Loaded Compression Drivers. In 1996 Image Dynamics pioneered the concept of interchangeable component sets with our Chameleon separates that easily convert from conventional separates to point source coaxial mounting.

Image Dynamics subwoofers have set the standard for exceptional sound quality combined with very high sound pressure levels from extremely small enclosure sizes.
